According to Yonhap News,
(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) said Thursday that it organized an e-commerce promotion in China to give more online market access to South Korean cosmetics exporters.
The "Cosmetics E-commerce Week in China" opened Wednesday in Qingdao and will continue until Tuesday, with events including a forum on online market policies and consultations with buyers from 57 Chinese companies, the state-run trade promotion agency said.
China's online cosmetics market made up 22 percent of the total last year, up from 14.5 percent in 2014. The online market is continuing to expand.
From Oct. 24-29, China's biggest online shopping mall Taobao will broadcast live promotions of products from eight South Korean companies.
Sales of South Korean cosmetics in China had been hit hard by escalating diplomatic tension between the two countries over South Korea's deployment of a U.S. missile defense system.
KOTRA said it will nurture Chinese university students to become cosmetics specialists and provide information on South Korea's cosmetics industry management.
