Info Session on Government R&D Support Policies for SMEs Set for Jan. 17

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Korea Federation of SMEs announced January 8 that it will be holding an information session on the government's policies to support research and development (R&D) at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and an opportunity for SMEs to seek advice on technological issues on January 17 at the federation's headquarters in Yeoui-do, Seoul, for 150 SME CEOs and employees.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the National Research Council of Science & Technology, and the Korea Technology & Information Promotion Agency, the event will inform attendees of the government's policies to support R&D at SMEs this year, as well as application requirements and procedures.

In addition, various support project at 11 research institutes, including the National Research Council of Science & Technology, the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute and the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials will also be introduced at the event.

On the same day, a consulting session for SMEs to voice their grievances regarding technological issues will also be held at the same venue.

Applications can be submitted until January 15 through the Korea Federation of SMEs' website. All admission is free.
