(SUWON=Yonhap News) The Yellow Sea Free Economic Zone (YESFEZ) Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore-based global fresh fruit company Sumifru on January 24.
Based on the MoU, the company will inject USD 30 million into the Pyeongtaek BIX (Business & Industry Complex) to build logistics facilities of a scale of 50,909 square meters.
Set for completion in 2020, the Pyeongtaek BIX is currently being created on 2,074,000 square meters of land across Sigok-ri, Man-ho-ri and Sinyeong-ri in Poseung-eup, Pyeongtaek City, and will feature industrial, logistics, residential, and public facilities.
So far, 24 companies have signed with YESFEZ to investment a total of USD 2,085,000,000 in Pyeongtaek BIX and the Pyeongtaek-Hyeondeok District.
