(SEOUL=Yonhap News) On July 12, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries received a letter of intent for investments worth KRW 9.5 billion at the Business Partnership Presentation & Ocean and Fisheries Technology Commercialization Fair 2018 and signed 3 technology transfer agreements.
The theme for this year's event was "sea of solutions, drawing the future," and over 500 participant including 200 marine fisheries companies and 60 investment organizations took part.
The ministry explained, "We were able to get letters of investment intent for 3 companies worth KRW 9.5 billion through a preliminary matching and investment consultations. We also signed 3 technology transfer agreements through the technology fair."
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' Policy Director Song Myeong-dal stated, "the ministry will work to make sure this fair does not end as a one-time event, but creates momentum for further investments for marine fisheries companies."
