S. Korean Government to Hold a Presentation Session on Investment in Innovation Cities

According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on September 5 that it will hold a presentation session on the promotion of investment in innovative cities in conjunction with the 2018 Balanced National Development EXPO in which public organizations and business will participate on September 6 at Daejeon Convention Center.

As of today, 10 innovation cities were established in the country and 150 government offices have moved to the innovation cities or nearby area. The number of corporates moving into the innovation cities is on the rise, recording 639 in June while it was 99 in 2014.

The Korean government is implementing its second season of Innovation City project which aims to create innovative start-up ecosystem in the cities near innovation cities.

The event was prepared with the aim of promoting the advantage of innovation city as a space for companies to do their business, and presenting various kinds of supports provided to the companies moving into the cities.

The Ministry will give an explanation on related policies such as measures to encourage businesses to move in and present good examples of government organizations that are supporting and cooperating with companies.
