(SEJONG=Yonhap News) South Korea's vice finance minister said Tuesday that greater cooperation between Seoul and Beijing for the 4th industrial revolution and the digital economy is becoming increasingly important.

"It is important for Korea and China to develop joint responses to the digital economy and major issues of the 4th industrial revolution through diverse cooperation channels," the senior official said.
"I suggest taking the dialogue on the digital economy and the digital silk road further through high-level consultative channels including the Korea-China economic ministers' meeting and the joint committee on science and technology."
Ko has visited Alibaba's main office and other tech firms' plants and held meetings with businessmen from venture startups, according to the finance ministry.
