(SEOUL=Yonhap News) The Tech Incubator Program for Startup Korea (TIPS) Startup team, investors and conglomerates gathered to discuss on investment and M&A.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) announced on September 21 that it held the Third Beyond TIPS 2018 on September 20 in Seoul to help excellent startups participating in the TIPS to attract follow-up investment and technical cooperation and M&S with the conglomerates.
TIPS is a program promoting startups by professional personnel by selecting good startup teams and linking private investment with government R&D projects.
The event was started with networking session between TIPS startup teams and investors, and then was followed by IR pitching contest and investment convention.
IR pitching and trial products of eight TIPS startup teams will be evaluated, and top two teams will be provided with financing and an opportunity to pitch at the TIPS Grand Convention in December.
During the investment convention, the startup teams had one-on-one investment meetings with conglomerates, venture capitals and angel investors.
