Date
2018.10.18

According to Pulse by Maeil Business News Korea,

The South Korean government is sponsoring a food fair in Hong Kong on Monday with an aim to bolster demand for Korean menu in the Great China region by riding on the renewed popularity wave in K-pop and entertainment contents.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) said Tuesday the five-day K-food Fair kicked off on Monday in Hong Kong, Korea’s seventh largest food market that provides a gateway to other regional markets in the Great China.

The fair includes a large-scale consulting session for 37 Korean exporters and 83 buyers from countries like Taiwan and Macao and provides opportunities to taste and experience various Korean foods for local customers at special booths.

K-pop entertainers including Mamamoo also perform during the fair.
