According to Yonhap News,

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) On January 6, KOTRA announced that KOTRA and the Korea Electronics Association (KEA) will jointly operate a Korea exhibition booth at CES 2019, the world's biggest electronics & IT exhibition show held in Las Vegas from 8th to 11th of January.

A total of 168 companies will participate in the joint Korea exhibition booth to demonstrate their cutting edge technologies related to the fourth industrial revolution.

KOTRA has provided promotional booths at CES since 2000 to support SMEs that cannot afford to set up their own promotional booths or draw enough attention by themselves.

This year marks KOTRA's 20th participation in the event since the first entry in 2000. This year in particular, KOTRA partnered with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to operate a startup promotional booth for 36 startup companies.

Among the companies making up the joint Korea booth, Girjae Soft will introduce a virtual reality (VR) product that combines a 3D technology to capture the face of a fetus with multiple ultrasonic waves.

At the booth, Korea Microsystem will show a glass product capable of self-cleaning rain and dust, and 42MARU will demonstrate a deep-learning based search engine that has been ranked first along with Google at the Stanford University's Machine Reading Competition.

LOON Lab will present its smart menstrual cup, which won the CES Innovation Award for fitness, sports and biotechnology. The smart menstrual cup alarms when to replace with vibration, and measures the volume, color, cycle and temperature to provide a better insight of women's health.

KOTRA's 10 overseas trade centers in North America will support the companies do promotion activities and attract buyers.

KOTRA will also invite buyers from leading companies such as Amazon, HP, and Newegg, and arrange a purchase meeting with the participating Korean companies.
