(HONGSEONG=Yonhap News) Air Products, an American international corporation producing industrial gas, is to build a new factory in Cheonan, South Chungcheong province, with USD 30 million investment.

Governor Yang Seung-jo of Chungnam province and Mayor Koo Bon-young of Cheonan city signed an MOU with Wilbur W. Mok, President of Air Products Asia at the Air Products HQ in Allentown, Pennsylvania on April 17.

Air Products Korea will invest USD 30 million over the next five years to set up industrial gas production and storage facilities in its factory located in Cheonan Foreign Investment Zone.

Air Products produces industrial gases and equipment required for semiconductor, display, and medical device manufacturing.

The company has 16,000 employees in 50 countries over the world, and recorded KRW 8.9 billion sales last year.

The Governor of Chungnam province said, "We will provide active support to ensure successful investment."
