Ulsan-Thailand to promote EV technology exchanges and cooperation

(ULSAN=Yonhap News) Ulsan city hosted the Ulsan-Thailand Electric Vehicle (EV) technology exchange event, organized by the Ulsan Institute for Regional Program Evaluation and Ulsan Techno Park at Ulsan Science and Technology Promotion Agency on April 30.

The Thai delegation was consisted of 70 members including Thai ambassador Singtong Lapisatepun, and those from The Thailand Board of Investment, Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand, Science Technology and Innovation Policy Institute, Provincial Electricity Authority, and interested companies.

The event was made up of presentations on EV projects by The Thailand Board of Investment, and Ulsan's EV companies such as KAR and TMM.

Ulsan city and Thailand shared technologies on EV, Energy Storage System (ESS), and self-driving, and considered ways to promote Ulsan-Thailand Joint Cooperation Projects.

An official from Ulsan city government said, "Thailand government has been pushing for deployment of electric vehicles and various support measures with a policy to advance eco-friendly cars," adding that "we will take this opportunity to help regional car part companies to make inroads into the Thailand market."
