MAFRA holds IR sessions on the National Food Cluster in four regions

(SEOUL=Yonhap News) On May 20, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) announced that it plans to hold IR sessions on the national food cluster for food companies nationwide.

The first will be held at KINTEX, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on May 22, followed by another five sessions in four regions including Seoul, Daegu, Gwangju, among others.

The National Food Cluster is an industrial complex (2.3 million square-meters) specialized in the food industry. It houses about 150 food companies and 10 research centers, supporting creation of added-values by food companies.

At the IR sessions, MAFRA plans to introduce the progress of the National Food Cluster and support programs for companies in the cluster.

In the National Food Cluster, Pulmuone is to complete the construction of a premium kimch factory this month, beginning production. Harim and Maeil Foods also plan to commence construction within this year.
