(SEOUL=Yonhap News) On June 24, Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) announced that it would open a comprehensive support center for MICE industry (meeting, incentive tour, convention, and exhibition), first of its kind by the metropolitan government.

SMG and Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) opens a "Comprehensive Support Center for Seoul MICE Industry" providing wide-ranging consulting for MICE areas on the 8th floor of STO Building, holding the opening ceremony on June 25.

The Center is planned to provide specialists' consultation in the areas of management including legal, accounting, tax, human resources, and labor affairs for SMEs of less than 1 billion sales, accounting for 85 percent of MICE enterprises.

By analyzing consulting requirements by each company received at a call center, the Center will match the companies with experts. The center will take on difficulties firms faced through comprehensive consulting in such ways as a visit to the center or consultant's visit to firms.

Consultation differs by day, labor affairs on Monday, tax on Wednesday, and legal on Friday, with experts staying at the center from 1p.m.-5p.m. (☎ 02-2278-9933)
