On June 24, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) announced that it holds the "9th Foodpolis International Food Conference" in Korea National Food Cluster (Foodpolis), Iksan, Jeonbuk-do on June 25.
The Conference has been held every year since 2012 at Foodpolis, Iksan to share the latest trends of food-related technologies in advanced countries including Europe, the US., and Japan, and strengthen cooperation between domestic food companies and prestigious foreign food companies.
This year's theme is "Taste of food! The world answers to Foodpolis's questions". The event is to be participated by about 2,000 people from startups, food industry, academia, and relevant organizations.
It will be an opportunity to introduce outcomes of technological support for startups and those in Foodpolis and food tasting events for foods made by young entrepreneurs.
"International Symposium for the Source Industry" will be held to introduce the latest trends of the source market and strategies for the industry at the same venue on the following day (June 26).
An official from MAFRA said "The Conference will serve as a venue to exchange information so that startups and companies from Foodpolis share advanced technologies and explore bench-marking opportunity."
