On August 1, Gyeonggi province announced that it will proceed with "Startup Factory" project to support startups making idea products utilizing new technologies in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The startup factory project is to support young startups-who tend to suffer from fund shortages and other troubles during prototype planning and production.
The project will support part of expenses needed for prototype and hardware production, and various investment attraction activities.
Gyeonggi province plans to choose ten startups by August 11.
Those under 39 years old who want to start a business and new startups less than 7 years old are eligible for application.
The startups who want to apply for should download forms from the website of the Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology (aict.snu.ac.kr) or Egbiz (www.egbiz.or.kr) and fill it out then submit via online.
