On August 5, Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency (SDIA) announced that it conducted investment promotion activities during SDIA delegation's visit to Dallas, Texas in the U.S. from July 29 to August 1.
The delegation made a series of visit to ECOM Trading, City of Richardson, the Dallas Chamber of Commerce and the Korean-American Chamber of Commerce.
ECOM Trading has been said to have shown interest in entry to Northeast Asian market including Saemangeum, conveying its intention to consider business opportunities.
According to SDIA, the mayor Paul Volcker of Richardson also showed deep interest in development of Saemangeum as smart waterfront city, and his intention to visit. Richardson City has a cluster of IT industry in which about 5,700 ICT companies are present, employing 130,000 people.
