"K-Business Day 2019" designed to help SMEs go global and expand exports is opened on August 27.
It is hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), and organized by the Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ), running for two days at 63 Convention Center Grand Ballroom.
"K-Business Day" brings together various export consultations KBIZ has provided under a brand. It is participated by 90 foreign buyers from 23 countries and 433 domestic SMEs.
In total, 1300 one-on-one business partnering is planned.
This year's business partnering will be focused on home furniture, interior design, beauty care, foods, and household goods which have increasing demand for overseas markets due to the spread of Korean-wave, etc.
Also planned are such side events as a show room displaying products of Korean SMEs in a story-telling way and showcases introducing various products.
Reyada Group, a Saudi Arabia group of companies providing a wide range of products and services, and Ritavo, a Vietnam's large importer and distributor, will participate.
Vice Chairman Seo Seung-won of KBiz said, "The event has been prepared to support SMEs diversify export items and enter emerging markets," adding that "we will keep working on discovering SMEs with global competitiveness and foreign buyers with strong purchasing power".
