According to Yonhap News,

The city of Seoul announced on Oct 28 that four local startups and their Chinese counterparts seeking for business opportunities in Korea reached 8 different MOUs for future investment at the China Investment Week 2019.

The two-day event invited 20 Seoul based SMEs and startups, 41 Chinese companies and 45 Chinese investors. One-on-one counseling sessions and special programs to share future technologies were offered during this 2019 China week event.

China recently made an investment worth USD 730 million over the past three years especially in businesses located in Seoul. The city says the investment from China started to rebound from the period of struggle since Seoul has decided to deploy a US-anti-missile defense system that angered China. The authority said “The city will make a full commitment to promoting more investment from China.”
