KOTRA opens video conference in China amid surge in COVID 19 virus infections

To minimize the economic fallout of the deadly coronavirus outbreaks (named COVID 19), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced the launch of special hotline service on Feb. 23. They said the agency has already opened the first round of video conference, targeting guests in the Sinosphere on Feb. 21, adding that 2,000 separate cases of online video conference call to connect 800 buyers and potential investors worldwide are set to be pushed on early this year. The number aiming to reach is a fourfold jump compared to the previous year.

With help from overseas networks in Chinese cultural sphere, particularly 22 KOTRA KBC that stretch across China, KOTRA runs the program to meet with local buyers on every Wednesday and Friday.

The conference focusing primarily on beauty/ health & wellness industry such as cosmetics and sporting goods business, matched 28 global buyers to 38 Korean enterprises, reaching 47 cases of biz-talks.

KOTRA said “We’re now sparing no efforts to help entrepreneurs hit hard from the epidemic. We welcome anyone who are in need of help.
