Global trade fairs? Visit KOTRA’s online pavilion!
Date
2020.03.18

According to Yonhap News,

Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced the launch of a new service, called “Online Korea Pavilion” through a digital trade platform “BuyKorea” to help businesses forced to cancel all trips amid a countrywide lockdown as part of drastic measures to slowdown the spread of the deadly virus.

The pavilion opened in Buykorea serves as an online showcase through which those supposed to take part in overseas exhibitions early this year can display digital ads and e-brochures. Clicking on buttons on the website, potential buyers can choose what they’re interested and whom they want to meet with. Then KOTRA KBCs set up a virtual venue for business conversations, matching suppliers and buyers online. When the process is successfully over, KBCs help shipping service for free samples. Users can take a quick glance at 10 promising businesses including medical service, consumer goods, materials/parts/equipment through industrial pavilion.

It’s expected to put higher value on buyers’ online experiences as they’re given direct access to deeper information on items they’re interested by raising questions to the makers or expressing customer feedback for purchase.
