The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) hosts a web-based ICT Industry Outlook Conference 2021, an open dialogue to share insights, thoughts on COVID-19 implications on the ICT industry and to find necessary approaches to future industry trends and outlook on Nov 10-11. The conference, which marks the 20th anniversary this year, especially focuses on “Digital New Deal”, a Development of a digital ecosystem underpinned by data, network and artificial intelligence technologies under the topics of “what will the world look like and how the technology of future change where we live.”

Jason Shanker, the Chairman of the Futurist Institutes and one of world’s top-ranked economists, delivers a keynote speech on Nov 10 sharing ideas on the global power dynamics and foreign policies after COVID-19. The head of Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and professor Kim Nan-do join the virtual seminar to give lectures on future consumer trends and technologies reshaping the world economy.

With open discussion sessions on the second day of the event, participants and audiences talk more on how to employ digital technologies and cyber security of the future.
