According to Yonhap News,
On Mar 1, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced the launch of a marketing support package that entails a one-on-one business consulting program and a voucher scheme under which businesses are provided with cash grants up to KRW 100 million each to access marketing services and assistance programs offered. The authorities will pick 305 possible candidates before putting the grants and support plans into effect.
The program extends to small and mid-sized companies fully ready and willing to develop new sales channels overseas. Businesses which produce or develop epidemic prevention supplies, bio-healthcare services, semiconductor and ICT products are reported to take up the largest proportion, 28.8 percent, of the entire size of an applicant pool.
This year, in particular, the agency and the ministry set up a new support guidance to help companies manufacturing products for domestic supplies reach out to potential buyers across the world and formed what’s called ‘a business club’ aiming to give personalized coaching services.
