According to Yonhap News,
The Ministry of Environment announced a business and R&D assistance program on Mar 1 targeting 10 companies in the water industry. The support scheme which started last year for the first time, aims to identify 10 promising candidates annually and help them develop into globally competitive innovators.
Anyone interested in the program can submit the application form until Apr 11 via email (innowater@kwp.or.kr).
Possible candidates entitled to apply must meet two of three requirements below:
- a water business whose R&D spending as a percentage of net sales goes beyond 3% over the past two years,
- a water business whose R&D investment to exports ratio exceeds 5%
- a water business who’s acquired internationally applicable certificates.
After several stages of screening and deliberative process, the environment ministry will select shortlistees and launch the provision of support programs.
