(SEOUL=Yonhap News) Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) said on June 6 that it will operate Korea Pavilion at WeCOSMOPROF- to be held for two weeks starting from June 7- jointly with International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA). WeCOSMOPROF is an online exhibition held since last year as the offline opening of COSMOPROF, the world’s largest beauty exhibition, had become uncertain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Korea Pavilion will have 102 companies in total, including ▲44 cosmetics ▲26 spa & beauty ▲15 OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) ▲11 hair ▲3 green & organic ▲and 3 nail companies.
This year, about 500 companies are to participate, with more than 50,000 visitors are expected to access the online exhibition.
KOTRA also opened a Korea Pavilion landing page on WeCOSMOPROF’s online platform to enable buyers accessing the exhibition to directly connect to Korean companies’ online booth.
In addition, KOTRA is going to promote Korea Pavilion by sending online news and running SNS advertisement utilizing DB of exhibition organizers.
It will also hold webinars (web+seminar) during the exhibition period to raise buyers’ understanding of Korean’s beauty industry, and support virtual consultation between Korean companies and buyers, while planning to initiate other related projects.
Lyu Jae-won, Executive Vice President for Trade-Investment Support Infrastructure said, “We will make efforts to raise export competitiveness of Korean companies by utilizing overseas exhibitions as a basis for promoting Korea’s beauty industry.”
