Ottogi to invest KRW 22.6 bn to build "Global Logistics Center" in UIsan

According to Yonhap News,

Food company Ottogi held a groundbreaking ceremony for its logistics facility, the "Global Logistics Center" at its Ulsan Samnam Plant in Ulju-gun on March 14, according to Ulsan-si.

A total of KRW 22.6 billion will be invested in the construction of the Ottogi Global Logistics Center, which is scheduled to be completed by April next year.

The center will span 1 basement level and 5 floors, with a total floor area of 15,100㎡ (4,568 pyeong). The company is to build this center to accommodate the increasing export logistics volume.

Once completed, the center will have a storage capacity of 9,910 pallets (PLT), with a maximum inbound capacity of 780 PLT and an outbound capacity of 720 PLT to be processed.

With this new center, Ottogi plans to maximize logistics efficiency and strengthen its competitiveness for expanding into global markets.

Since Ottogi decided to build the logistics center in Ulsan last year and submitted the permit application, Ulsan-si has provided administrative support through a regional responsibility system.

As a result, the permit process for the industrial complex development project took only five months, completed in December last year, allowing for the swift proceeding of the project.

Currently, 167 people are employed at the Ottogi Samnam Plant, with 104 of them being Ulsan residents.

The city expects that the establishment of the center will lead to new job creation and revitalization of the local economy.
