According to Yonhap News,
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced that it will hold the "K-Med Roadshow" in Hanoi, Vietnam, on July 10-11, in connection with the "2025 Vietnam K-Med Expo" to support the expansion of exports of Korean medical devices to Southeast Asia.
A total of 63 Korean companies, offering products such as AI-based diagnostic aids, imaging diagnostic devices, and hospital equipment, will participate in the roadshow.
These companies will engage in one-on-one export consultations with 120 Vietnamese medical device distributors and hospitals invited by KOTRA.
KOTRA introduced Vietnam as the fastest-growing market in Southeast Asia, with Korean medical device exports to Vietnam reaching USD 150 million in 2024, a 9.1% increase compared to the previous year.
In particular, South Korea ranked first in Vietnam's medical device import market in 2023, accounting for a 19.8% market share.
Koo Bon-kyung, head of KOTRA's Southeast Asia and Oceania Regional Headquarters, stated, "With the growth of the Vietnamese medical device market, the overseas expansion of Korea's next-generation growth industries, such as digital healthcare, is gaining momentum. We will continue to enhance the export competitiveness of K-Medical devices by strengthening cooperation with local institutions."
