According to Yonhap News,
(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Sang-seo – The Ministry of Startups and SMEs (MSS) announced on the 16th that it held the '1st K-Founder Network in India Forum' in India on the 15th (local time).
The K-Founder Network is a project designed to support Korean entrepreneurs operating worldwide in stably forming and managing networks.
The forum on this day was attended by around 70 participants, including Korean startup enterprises that have entered India, local venture capitalists (VCs), accelerators (ACs), government agencies, and experts.
They agreed to lower initial barriers to entry and support the local settling of junior domestic entrepreneurs through measures such as ▲ producing a guidebook for startup enterprises entering India, ▲ expanding local networks, and ▲ sharing success stories.
In addition, the Korea Startup Forum, the operating institution of the project, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), establishing a cooperative foundation for global expansion and increased exchanges between startups of both nations.
Mok Seung-hwan, Head of the Startup and Venture Innovation Bureau at MSS, stated, "Through the private-led K-Founder Network, we will connect local senior entrepreneurs with junior entrepreneurs and strengthen the foundation for startups' global expansion."
