According to Yonhap News,

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Kwon Ha-young = The National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) has initiated cooperation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Transformation with Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

NIPA announced on the 18th that it co-hosted the 'Korea-Vietnam AI Transformation Partnership Day' from the 10th to the 11th of this month with Ho Chi Minh City's Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB), connecting 11 domestic AI enterprises with local demand clients and cooperation partners.

This event marks the first institutional Korea-Vietnam AI transformation cooperation event held since the Vietnamese government approved its '2030 National AI Strategy and 2045 Vision' on the 28th of last month.

As part of the 'Korea-Vietnam AI Transformation Partnership Program' jointly pursued by NIPA's AI Application Division and the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center, the initiative identifies and matches target clients and local partners customized to each participating enterprise.

During the 'Korea-Vietnam AI Transformation Partnership Seminar' on the first day, briefings covering Vietnamese AI policies, regulations, and market trends were held alongside solution presentations by participating firms.

This was followed by an MOU signing ceremony between the Ho Chi Minh IT Support Center and SIHUB, establishing cooperation to support the entry of Korean AI enterprises into Ho Chi Minh's innovation ecosystem.

On the following day, the 11th, one-on-one business matching sessions were conducted between participating companies and local clients and partners.

NIPA reported that through this event, it achieved 102 export consultation sessions and 16 MOUs signed, while discovering approximately 40 potential cooperation partners.
