According to Yonhap News,
On February 17th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) at KOTRA’s headquarters in Seocho-gu to collaborate on discovering and attracting top global talent.
The city and KOTRA plan to jointly utilize their respective infrastructures and networks to support strategic talent attraction and provide services for their stable settlement.
To attract top global talent in key industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and biotechnology, the city will carry out recruitment promotions and other activities based on KOTRA's Global Talent Center and overseas branches.
Earlier this year, KOTRA was designated as a Global Talent Center under the Special Act on Advanced Industry Talent Innovation, and officially opened the center on this day.
Additionally, the city will utilize its 18 support facilities, including the Seoul Global Center and Foreign Residents Centers, to support services for the recruitment and settlement of global talent.
Lee Hae-sun, director-general of the city's Global City Policy Bureau, stated, "For sustainable urban growth, top talent must be integrated without being constrained by origin or cultural background."
