According to Yonhap News,
South Korea will host a meeting of energy ministers of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member nations in the southeastern port city of Busan next month, the government said Tuesday.
The APEC energy ministers' meeting will take place from Aug. 27-28 in Busan, located 325 kilometers southeast of Seoul, where the energy ministers of the 21 APEC economies will gather to discuss global energy issues, according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The event is set to cover various issues, including power grid infrastructure, energy security, stable energy supply and energy innovation driven by artificial intelligence (AI).
In the last week of August, South Korea also plans to host the Clean Energy Ministerial and Mission Innovation Ministerial conference and the World Climate Industry Expo in Busan to promote international discussions on carbon emission reduction efforts and the future of the energy industry.
