According to Yonhap News,

(IKSAN=Yonhap News) Iksan City announced May 12 that Konka, one of the three largest LED manufacturers in China, will build a plant in the city in September.

Iksan City Mayor Jeong Hun-yul and his delegation visited Anhui Province of China to attract Chinese companies to invest in the city.

The Mayor and his group met with President Jin Kwang-woo of Konka and discussed ways to strengthen their cooperation. They also toured the production facilities of Konka where their LED lights and TVs and household appliances are manufactured.

Konka, which has already signed a KRW 320 billion investment agreement with the city last March, promised to establish a LED production plant in the city's Hamyeol agricultural-industrial complex.

To develop the LED industry as a strategic industry of Iksan, the city has built the Hamyeol agricultural-industrial complex in 2013 to attract domestic and companies.
