Implementation Strategy

2011–2016: Carbon Valley Construction Project

  • Advanced PAN-based carbon fiber production technology, carbon composite production technology, and establishment of business support equipment

2017–2021: Carbon Industry Cluster Construction

  • Utilize carbon fibers developed through the Carbon Valley Project to develop transportation equipment parts production technologies, support equipment for "carbon fiber → intermediate goods → prototype manufacturing," and commercialization

2020–2024: Regulatory-Free Zone Project

  • Self-sufficiency and demonstration projects [CFRP small boats, compressed hydrogen gas transport tube trailer production and operation, CFRP firewater tanks for fire trucks]

2019–2026: National Carbon Industrial Complex Development

  • Concentration of carbon-related companies and research facilities, support for resident companies

2024–2028: K-Carbon Flagship Project

  • Develop carbon composite material application technologies in the aerospace defense, mobility, energy-environment, life care, and construction sectors
