(Jangsu=Yonhap News) Lot sales of the Jangsu Rural Industrial Complex located in Jangsu-eup, Jangsu-gun, North Jeolla Province, Korea is meeting growing demand.

After the Food Cluster Project is implemented, a number of food companies are moving in or planning to set up their businesses in the complex, according to the municipality.

"We expect active lot sales in the agro-industrial complex will create jobs and vitalize the local economy," a county official said. He added that "We will strive to make our county business-friendly."

The agricultural industrial complex established on the land of 139,500 square meters in Doosan-ri, Jangsu-eup opened in September 2014.

Industrial land of approximately 104,000 square meters in the complex are currently being sold at KRW 46,890 per square meter.

The industrial complex boasts well-connected transportation network and low logistics cost as it is accessible within 2 to 3 hours from anywhere in the nation thanks to three expressways running near the complex.

Tenants will be provided with tax benefits including acquisition and registration tax exemption, property tax exemption for 5 years, and income and corporate tax reduction for 5 years. Investment subsidies will also be available.

Tenant companies will be selected after business feasibility study. Eligible candidates are companies doing businesses in the solar, food·beverage, equipment and electronics industries.
