Gunsan to Hold Korea Women's International Network 2017

According to Yonhap News,

(GUNSAN=Yonhap News) Gunsan City in North Jeolla Province announed that it will host the Korea Women's International Network (KOWIN) next year, a gathering of South Korean female leaders worldwide.




The event will be jointly organized by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, North Jeolla Province and Gunsan City.

The annual conference has been held from 2001 to boost national competitiveness by sharing information and building up cooperation among women leaders making strides in the spheres of politics, economy, science and culture.

This year's KOWIN held in Jeju Island in August this year brought together 230 global women leaders from 31 countries as well as 300 female leaders in Korea.


The KOWIN 2017 will take place for four days at the Gunsan Saemangeum Convention Center at the end of August next year and offer various programs including conferences, lectures, discussions, and local tours.
