According to Yonhap News,

(JEONGEUP=Yonhap News) Eco Dream, a producer of cosmetics made from antioxidant in grass, will build a new factory in the High-tech Science and Industrial Complex in Jeongeup City, North Jeolla Province.

Jeongeup City and Eco Dream entered an investment agreement on January 11 at City Hall. Following the agreement, the cosmetics manufacturer will inject around KRW 4 billion to build a plant on the 14,000-square-meter land and produce cosmetics using maysin, a antioxidant found in grass, as ingredients.

The company received maysin extraction technology from the Advanced Radiation Technology Institute of the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, which is located in the High-tech Science and Industrial Complex, and has been working on the establishment of a production facility.

After the plant is put into operation, the cosmetics company plans to develop new products using Siberian chrysanthemum, an official flower of Jeongeup City.

City Mayor Kim Saeng-gi said, "We will provide full administrative and financial support for the sustainable growth of tenant companies in the High-tech Science and Industrial Complex."
