(JEONJU=Yonhap News) The 15th Jeonju Fermented Foods Expo (JFFE) is set to kick off on October 19 for a five-day run at the World Cup Stadium in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.
As the only government-certified international exhibion in the province, this year's JFFE will feature some three thousand varieties of fermented foods made by around two hundred Korean companies.
At the corporate exhibition hall, visitors will be able to sample a taste of traditional Korean bean pastes and kimchi, as well as fermented foods and beverages from different continents, such as noni juice, beers, cheeses, wines, and salami.
There will also be experience corners at the site, where participants can try their hand at making cheese, kimchi and other fermented foods.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Korea Food Research Institute, and the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Association, JFFE was selected for four years in a row as a promising Korean exhibition.
