(NAMWON=Newsis News) Exports of Chunhyang Valley Pears from Namwon, North Jeolla Province, are expected to reach 300 tons this year.

According to the city of Namwon on August 10, 13 tons of Chunhyang Valley pears were set to leave through Busan Port later that day to Vietnam.

By the end of the year, an additional 300 tons of Namwon Chunhyang Valley pears are expected to be exported to Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Known for their good taste and high level of sweetness, Namwon Chunhyang Valley pears are being sold every year to different markets around the world, overseas exports reaching 270 tons in 2016.
