(JEONJU=Newsis News) According to North Jeolla on October 5, the province has attracted the investment of 109 companies from January to August 2017, despite eased restrictions in the greater Seoul area and major industry recessions.

As of August, a total of KRW 686 billion has been invested by the 109 companies, creating 3,987 future jobs.

In particular, despite difficulties in automotive and other major industries, active effort by Imsil County has led to the KRW 200 billion investment (300 new jobs) by Iljin Steel.

Also, the province provided administrative services to 61 companies that have already made an investment, to resolve their grievances and encourage them to make additional investments.

Due to such efforts, North Jeolla was selected as an outstanding local government for attracting investment in 2015 and 2016 by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
