According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) North Jeolla Province announced October 25 that it will be exporting 16 tons of local-grown crisp persimmons and pears to Indonesia, and holding promotional events at the Jakarta Ranch Market from October 26 to 28.

Ranch Market has some 30 store across Indonesia, where it sells imported high-quality agricultural goods and food products from around the world.

The province also plans to hold a promotional event in Cambodia in November to export fresh agricultural goods.

Southeast Asia accounts for 28 percent (USD 53 million) of the province's total agricultural goods exports, and has been recently emerging as a large buyer of North Jeolla's agricultural goods thanks to the popularity of Korean popular culture in the region.
