New Export Support Group to Provide Customized Services for Iksan Companies

(IKSAN=Yonhap News) A support group was launched on November 22 to help companies based in Iksan City, North Jeolla Province, enter foreign markets and expand exports.

Members of the export support group include Iksan City, Jeonbuk Regional SMEs and Startups Office, Iksan Customs Office Business Center, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Iksan Branch, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Association Jeonbuk Support Office, Korea International Trade Association Jeonbuk Headquarters, Wonkwang University, Korea Federation of SMEs Jeonbuk Headquarters, and Iksan Industrial Complex Tenant Council.

Duties of the support group will include building a database for export companies, training export experts, supporting the specialization of specific sectors, operating foreign market development teams, and providing translation services.

It will also provide customised export services based on analyses by experts in each field.

Iksan Mayor Jung Heon-yul expressed that he hopes "the group will help expand exports by local SMEs, and thereby lead to a rise in production volume, greater competitiveness, more jobs, and ultimately to the revitalization of the local economy."
