Re-shoring Companies Invest in Iksan 3rd Industrial Complex

Iksan, Jeonbuk-do is gaining attention as a popular investment location for re-shoring companies from China.

On April 30, the city of Iksan and Golden Bell Jewelry signed an investment agreement for Iksan's fashion complex located in the 3rd Industrial Complex Fashion District.

Golden Bell will invest KRW 1.1 billion for a 1650㎡ of the fashion complex.

The investment is projected to create 30 new jobs.

Golden Bell, located in Qingdao(靑島), China, was established in 1995, in Korea, then relocated to China. It is a plating company with many years of experience and various clients.

The company's annual sales amounted to KRW 3 billion in 2017.

Earlier, Iksan City signed agreements with two other companies that relocated to China, Shine Jewelry and Bomyeong Kitchen Crafts, to invest in the fashion complex.

Shine Jewelry invested KRW 500 million and will hire 30 people for its leased factory in the fashion complex.

In addition, Bomyeong Kitchen Crafts will invest KRW 5 billion to lead the fashion jewelry industry in Iksan.

Currently, about 48% of the fashion complex in Iksan's 3rd Industrial Complex, which specializes in jewelry, textiles, sewing and cosmetics, has been leased.
