(JINAN=Yonhap News) On June 11, the Jinan District Red Ginseng Herbal Medicine Cluster Committee announced it exported a 4th order of red ginseng to the U.S. worth USD 30,000 (KRW 32 million).

The committee first exported red ginseng in 2016, totaling KRW 200 million in exports to date in 4 separate transactions.

The exported ginseng is being sold in 5 Jinan red ginseng specialty stores located in major supermarkets and home shopping stores across L.A.

After the series of exports, consumer trust in the brand has increased steadily and red ginseng exports to the U.S. is projected to increase.

Kin Jeong-bae, head of the committee, stated, "It is very encouraging to see exports increase in the American market that we entered only 3 years ago. We will work to expand our markets into China and Southeast Asian countries as well."
