Jeonbuk-do to Bid for 2022 Asia Pacific Masters Games

According to Yonhap News,

(JEONJU=Yonhap News) Jeonbuk-do Province is bidding to host the Second Asia Pacific Masters Games (APMG) in 2022.

From September 7 to 12, a delegation led by Song Ha-jin, the governor of Jeonbuk-do will visit Penan, Malaysia which is the host city of the first APMG.

The governor and his delegation will promote the Province as the next host city and will also open a discount store for agricultural products from the Province in Kuala Lumpur during the Games Time.

They will also meet the President of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA) to express their will to host the Games.

The Province plans to submit the proposal to IMGA after gaining qualification to host international games from the government in July next year.

The APMG 2022 host city is expected to be announced in November next year.
