A medical product manufacturer, Simon will invest KRW 7.2 billion in Gimje Free Trade Zone to build their new plant.

Jeonbuk-do Province announced on October 15 that it has signed an investment agreement with Simon at Gimje Free Trade Zone Office building.

The plant is expected to create 260 jobs.

Invested by an American capital, Simon will produce disinfectant and medical device supplies in Gimje.

"Simon's investment is expected to contribute to revitalizing investment promotion in the Gimje Free Trade Zone and Saemangeum," said Na Seokhoon, Director General of Economy and Industry of Jeonbuk-do. "We will provide support so that it would become a success model of foreign investment in the Province."
