(JEONJU=Yonhap News) Jeonbuk-do will push ahead with 68 projects this year with investing KRW 238.1 billion to revitalize farming villages.
The province will put in KRW 173.6 billion to improve living conditions of agricultural, forestry, and fishing villages and expand infrastructure for better quality of life.
It plans to promote 12 villages as a basis for tourism of farm village, expecting to attract 1 million tourists to farm villages, grossing KRW 10 billion tourism revenue.
The province also aims to attract 17,500 households to return to agricultural and fishing villages and expand programs to support their settlement.
