According to Yonhap News,

(IMSIL=Yonhap News) Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk-do announced on May 13 that it will create "Cheese Farm Land" to develop into a comprehensive tourist destination for stay.

To this end, Imsil-gun held a seminar session to report the launch of concept and detail designs, laying to foundation for Cheese Farm Land tourism.

In the session, the county presented a vision to create a Europe-style theme park (50,000 square meters) with KRW 9.8 billion investment by 2022, which will tunnel into residents' income sources.

The county's conception includes the establishment of facilities for stay, including accommodation, while adding a rose park to the cheese theme park visited by 350,000 tourists annually.

To create a synergy effect with an existing chrysanthemum park, a rose park was deemed appropriate as roses are resilient in cold climate, considering Imsil's cold winter when the lowest temperature reaches minus 20 Celsius.

A county mayor said, "We will open up the era of 5 million annual tourists by hosting Imsil Cheese Festivals in connection with roses in spring and chrysanthemum in autumn."
