An international exhibition reflecting upon the present and future of the drone industry opened in Jeonju on July 5.
Jeonju city and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) held an opening ceremony of "2019 Drone Industry Exhibition" at Jeonju World cup Stadium.
The exhibition will be held during July 5-7, participated by about 80 companies home and abroad involved in producing drone-related equipment and materials. It will show off the expansion of the drone industry, new technologies, and foundation for industry's development.
About 200 booths are set up for the exhibition, which will also provide demonstration of cutting-edge technologies, as well as lectures by famous foreign figures, and briefing session on drone regulation sandbox. In addition, drone-related leisure and sports events are prepared.
Jeonju city mayor said at the opening ceremony that "Jeonju city, which was the first to develop drone soccer technology in the world by converging carbon materials, drone, and ICT, is emerging as a city of drone," adding that "We will do our utmost to establishing drone test, certification system and expanding drone manufacturing base, and nurturing talent."
