(JEONJU=Yonhap News) On July 23, Jeonbuk-do announced that it launched economic exchanges with Jiangsu province in earnest.

In the occasion of the 25th anniversary of sister city relationship, Jeonbuk's governor visited Jiangsu province and discussed the ways to develop economies with the communist party secretary.

According to Jeonbuk-do, the core agendas on the list include utilization of joint investment in district 5 of Saemangeum Korea-China Industrial Cooperative Complex, operation of fast ship between Saemangeum (Gunsan)-Lianyungang port, cooperation through sea route, and creation of Saemangeum renewable energy cluster.

Jeonbuk-do established a working-level delegation on economic exchanges for rapid and concrete implementation.

The delegation is planned to hold a meeting on economic exchanges and cooperation next month by visiting Jiangsu province.

An official said, "We will produce tangible economic cooperation based on mutual trust built between local governments for 25 years."
