According to Yonhap News,

An approval of the revised version of the ‘Special Act on Promotion & Support for Saemanguem Project’ at the assembly meeting appears to speed up the process for the development, investment and improvement in water quality for better environment.

Further specifically, the revision will ease the entry of foreign workers in Saemanguem to facilitate better working conditions and attract FDI. For more investment, the new policy will slash financial costs associated with the authorized lease for research institutes.

Being part of efforts to prevent water pollution or any contaminants coming into the local environment, the modified act also covers the details to widen the window of time for land purchasing for five years till 2024, within the specially protected natural area.
