Jeonbuk National University School of Pharmacy signed a partnership deal with a German pharmaceutical company, Merck KGaA, on Dec 22 to ensure joint research agreements and HR training.

Under such investment pact, the German based science - technology company pledged to provide scholarship programs for students in the School of Pharmacy, while co-developing on- site training and practical skills with its Korean counterpart.

Both parties also reached a consensus to set up an HR management plan to foster industry leaders and professionals, and to develop bilateral exchange programs of human and material resources to develop new biopharmaceutical drugs. A college dean of the School of Pharmacy said “We’re so proud of being a partner of the world’s top life science and oldest pharma company with over 300 hundred years of history. The MOU signed between Merck and Jeonbuk University is highly anticipated to further build up our research capacity.”
